Summer camp may be a couple of months away, but Summer Trails Day Camp, located in Somers, NY, is working all year round to inspire play and reconnect campers. Summer Trails recently hosted its 5th annual “Summer Trails on Ice” event on Monday, January 18th at the Brewster Ice Arena. Children had the opportunity to skate with their friends, families and fellow camp counselors.

In addition to ice skating, Summer Trails hosted a collection drive of new and used toy stuffed animals. The camp collected more than 100 gently used stuffed animals. The stuffed animals will be donated to Good Will in Eastchester and to local animal shelters.

“We are delighted with the turnout, both with our campers and their generous donations, for this year’s ‘Summer Trails on Ice’ event,” said Jamie Sirkin, Director of Summer Trails Day Camp. “It was great to see everyone reconnect and we are looking forward to another great year of camp!” Summer Trails Day Camp is still collecting new and gently used toy stuff animals.

If you would like to donate, please stop by Summer Trails Day Camp (93 Mahopac Ave) Monday through Friday (9:00AM to 5:00PM) between now and February 2nd.
