T&J Restaurant and Pizzeria in Port Chester, NY (10 Pearl Street) recently celebrated the grand re-opening of its new location, which is steps from their former site (227 Westchester Ave). The new spot for the beloved family restaurant accommodates approximately 100 people and offers customers a wider range of food and services.

After being at T&J’s Westchester Avenue location for 26 years, John Ruggiero and Ray Sassano decided to move to a larger location to accommodate an ever-growing customer base. The newly constructed restaurant and pizzeria offers a casual atmosphere where everyone is made to feel like family. In the Italian culture, food is love and with the help of Ruggiero’s mother, Filomena Ruggiero, and Sassano’s mother-in-law, Grace Vitiello, they create classic, family recipes, proudly passed down from generation to generation. Ruggiero’s and Sassano’s wives, Veronica Ruggiero and Gina Sassano, play a special role too, getting to know their customers personally and forming wonderful relationships. It’s truly a unique dining experience where every relative is part of the secret family recipe of amazing food and service.

“Our family has been in the food business since the 1950s and we’re excited to continue the tradition at our new location. We’re able to offer our friends and customers, the same great food at the same great prices in a newly-renovated space,” says Ruggiero. “We’re happy to offer free and convenient parking (across the street), gelato and a wine and beer bar.  We set ourselves apart with our new pasta machine; which helps us make fresh, homemade pasta daily.”

As a part of this fun-filled day, friends, family and local patrons enjoyed authentic Neapolitan cuisines and complimentary cocktails. Notable attendees included Westchester County Executive, Robert Astorino, who presented the proclamation to owners John Ruggiero and Ray Sassano.

T&J Restaurant and Pizzeria’s new location offers delivery service, takeout, a dining room, outside seating via patio and a penthouse on the fifth floor to accommodate private parties and special events/fundraisers.
