The Southern Westchester Food & Wine Festival (SoWe) hosted three kickoff events on August 21, September 4 and September 10 at multiple Pepe Auto Group locations in Westchester County. The events were a VIP preview of the highly anticipated three day festival which will take place September 19-21. Attendees enjoyed exclusive wine tasting and food pairing seminars from some of the festival’s upcoming restaurants and vendors.

Mercedes Benz of White Plains hosted the first event on August 21. Wine Enthusiast’s Executive Editor, Susan Kostrzewa, led guests through the pairings with wines from Terlato and delicious bites from Chef Jay Lippin of Crabtree’s Kittle House (last year’s winner of “Best Entree” at the SoWe Food and Wine Festival). The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Scarsdale Volunteer Ambulance Corps were also on deck to discuss their causes

On September 4, attendees enjoyed a decadent dessert and exclusive champagne tasting at the luxurious Porsche of Larchmont. Lulu’s, Imagine Candy, and L’Inizio’s satisfied everyone’s sweet tooth. Piper Heidsieck a four-piece jazz band played music as guests ate some mouthwatering desserts. SoWe beneficiaries Greyston Bakery and the Food Bank of Westchester were also in attendance to discuss their causes.

Pepe Cadillac in White Plains hosted the final event on September 10. Cedar Street Grill led a grilling seminar with helpful tips and tricks for the perfect barbeque while Artuso Pastry Shop & Cafe provided delicious desserts after. Manhattan Beer served refreshing Captain Lawrence beers and Jana Water. Why Hunger and the Community Counseling Center also joined to discuss their causes.

The SOWE Food & Wine Festivalis a unique culinary celebration showcasing the talents of renowned restaurants, wineries, pit masters, cheese mongers, breweries, specialty culinary providers, spirits producers, chefs and culinary personalities.
