It’s slam dunk fun for some lucky boys this summer, thanks to a grant from Westchester Community Foundation! The Foundation, which helps connect Westchester donors and nonprofits, will send four boys living at the Coachman Family Shelter to MVP Basketball Camp in White Plains this summer. Most children agree that attending summer camp is the highlight of their year. It is the time to be a kid, make memories and have fun with old, and new, friends. Westchester Community Foundation is turning the dream of attending summer camp into a reality with a grant from the Foundation’s W. Lee Tuller Fund.
The grant will allow the camp-goers to have fun, make friends and learn valuable skills that will last a lifetime. This is the second year the Foundation has supported the program. “We are thrilled to support the MVP Basketball Camp – it’s a great program for boys and girls that is not only fun, but also teaches skills for personal achievement,” said Westchester Community Foundation’s Executive Director, Laura Rossi.
