The Music Conservatory of Westchester hosted their 12th Annual Golf & Tennis Classic on Monday, June 24, 2013 at Whippoorwill Club. The event included a lunch, “Shotgun for Golf”, a Tennis Tournament, Cocktail Reception, and Awards Dinner & Auction. Honored guest and performer Bernie Williams, NY Yankee Legend & Jazz Guitarist, received the Community Vision Award. Honored guest and performer Peter Duchin, Legendary Pianist and Bandleader, received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Over 200 people attended the event and the evenings proceeds will help the Music Conservatory continue to fulfill the dreams of many who aspire for musical excellence and those who will discover the world in a new way through music therapy.

The Music Conservatory of Westchester was founded in 1929, the Conservatory is the oldest and largest community arts school in a five-county region comprising Westchester, Rockland, Bronx, Putnam and Fairfield, Conn., counties. Each year, the Conservatory serves 3,000 students: 900 in its White Plains facility, and 2,000+ public school and disabled students who participate in outreach programs.
