On Thursday, February 5, 2015, LLS’s Connecticut Westchester Hudson Valley Chapter honored teams, individuals and sponsors at their Light the Night Awards Party at the Crowne Plaza in White Plains. The Light The Night Awards Party also celebrated the funds raised for the walk, both locally and nationally. The Westchester Walk raised $835,000 and $1.6 million for LLS’s Connecticut Westchester Hudson Valley Chapter’s seven Light The Night Walks. Overall, Light The Night raised $60 million nationally!
The Light The Night Walk funds lifesaving research and support for people battling cancer. LLS Connecticut Westchester Hudson Valley Chapter hosted their Light The Night Walk November 1, 2014 at Playland Amusement Park in Rye, NY. Every year, teams of co-workers, families and friends join forces to find a cure. Each Light The Night Walk honors local blood cancer survivors and commemorates individuals who have lost their lives to these diseases.
