Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE: BKS) today reported sales and earnings for its fiscal 2016 fourth quarter and full-year ended April 30, 2016. During its investor call, the company shared some exciting news about its plans to open four new concept stores later this year, beginning with the first store opening this October in Eastchester, NY. The new Eastchester store (Vernon Hills Shopping Center) will serve as a cultural hub to the local community— featuring a very broad assortment of books, expanded seating, and large open spaces for in-store events. The store will have a full-service restaurant, which will serve beer and wine. It will also have a large, beautiful outdoor space with fun elements such as a bocce court, fire pit, outdoor seating and more to bring the community together.
