Summer Trails Day Camp, located in Somers, NY (93 Mahopac Avenue), recently hosted its annual Pumpkin Mash event that brings family and friends together across the community, while giving back to the United States military troops. On November 3rd, the camp hosted an afternoon of pumpkin launching, smashing and games. In addition to pumpkin launching, Summer Trails Day Camp hosted a Halloween candy drive in support of Operation Gratitude, a 501(c)(3), non-profit, volunteer-based organization that delivers over 250,000 care packages with personal letters to U.S. service members. Children at the event also created thank you cards for U.S. troops.
