La Jolie Salon, Color Bar & Spa in Stamford, CT (388 Summer St.) celebrated its official grand re-opening on Tuesday, June 28, 2016. The celebration unveiled La Jolie’s latest expansion and renovations. La Jolie, founded originally in Greenwich, CT in the 1960’s, is a family-owned business (co-owned by sisters Cheryl Van Voorhies and Toni Ann Lupinacci) located in the heart of downtown Stamford. After being on the second floor for more than 30 years, La Jolie expanded into the space downstairs, allowing the salon to enhance its services for clients.
“We are thrilled to showcase our beautiful expansion and renovations to the public,” said Cheryl Van Voorhies, Co-Owner of La Jolie Salon, Color Bar & Spa. “Our father, ‘Mr. Anthony,’ was a passionate hair stylist and salon owner and we are proud to carry on his tradition. As children, we swept floors and answered phones and today, my sister and I are proud co-owners and are excited about the growth and future of our salon.”
During the grand re-opening, attendees received a tour of the salon and spa. Attendees also enjoyed several hair and beauty workshops throughout the evening, including: easy braids for summer hair, how to discover your right cut and color, how to get the perfect beach wave style and how to find your ideal eyebrow color and shape for your face. Delicious cocktails and hors d’oeuvres were served from Connecticut Distributors, Del Frisco’s Grille and Kona Grill and a number of amazing prizes were raffled off.
La Jolie’s certified stylists and estheticians offer a diverse range of hair, beauty and skin services. Some of these services include, men and women’s haircuts, styling and up dos, hair coloring, highlights, keratin smoothing treatments and blowouts, facials, waxing, makeovers and much more.
